Sitting quietly under the mounts and mounts of earth for millions of years patiently, coal as a commodity acquires tremendous peace and insurmountable stability as its noblest virtue. Naturally, the virtue passes on to miners.
In this context, Shri Arun Kumar Vaishya, Dozer Operator from Nigahi Area says, “I was at serious loss of perspective in my early years of life. But after I joined NCL and started to work with coal in fields, I observed a shift in my perspective.”
“I notice there is no cookie-cutter approach. Every coal face is different. Every moment is different. The placement of dozer’s blade, the way coal has to be pushed, the place of shifting- everything is different in different situation. This field learning has taught me to approach individuals and situations in life with ever renewed perspective.”
Shri Vaishya’s words is much more than coal. His words show how life is about uniqueness. Every individual and situation is unique. And to not get engulfed in generalisation is one noble life virtue. Though difficult initially, it is always best to stand out uniquely and not let the collective set the tone of one’s vibration.
