When my husband was transferred to Singrauli last year, our joy knew no bounds. After 3 years of marriage, we were finally getting to live together. Overjoyed or lacking prudence— can’t say!! But we decked up our newly allotted C-type quarter as if we will be living here permanently.

Right from getting company allotted pelmet removed and putting self-paid curtain rods to purchasing first-time-bought Grihasthi things and getting every piece of furniture customised to measurements of this home.– All measurements, specifications–everything. Looking back, it seems how child-like we became bordering on being childish!

Now, when we have to leave, we are continuously wondering how our Kakri C-type custom made furniture would fit in our new Vikas Kunj C-type quarter!

Anyways, it is not an accident. It is a choice. No one has ever been able to keep everything. Making choices is life’s way. When faced with options, we chose this. So, the day. Mixed feelings.
